Good afternoon everyone!

While I wish this was a call to say Happy New Year, I am calling to let everyone know that as we return back to school this Thursday, January 2, the Middle School-High School will have to switch to a virtual snow day format. Over the break, a lot of work was completed at our MS/HS, including electrical service upgrades. Unfortunately, in the process of turning power off and back on, a motor in our heating system went down and we will not be able to get a replacement in time for school on Thursday, leaving the building with very limited heat.

We will offer transportation to and from BCTC but only from the MS/HS. Students will need to get transportation to the MS/HS by 7:35am for West campus students and 6:55am for East campus students. Students will also need to find transportation back home.

Again, due to a HVAC mechanical issue, we will have to move JUST the middle school-high school to a virtual snow day format. Elementary schools will return to school as normal for in-person instruction but again the MS/HS will be virtual Thursday, January 2.

I apologize for this inconvenience. You can access our Virtual Snow Day Packet via our web site or in the email that accompanies this call. Mr. Lynch and Mr. Hamrick will also send out instructions on attendance for the virtual day. Teachers will have assignments posted to Google Classrooms for Thursday.

Non-public transportation and off campus transportation will run as normal.
